the never ending story of the patio

The patio project keeps creeping forward, albeit at the consistency of molasses on a cold winters day. Lucky for me this weekend El Senior Ross Anderson decided to show up for work early and we made some real progress on the paver installation phase! Check it out! I owe my Mexican some chips and cheese sauce at Cinco De Mayo for sure!

assorted pictures!

We had a really nice Easter day here in Nashville. James had a cute little sailors outfit to wear to church. Our wonderful neighbors gave JD a stuffed easter egg filled with candies that we ate for him :) Here are some shots from that day:

Here are some pictures of our little family enjoying a sunset on one of the first nice spring days here in Tennessee:

Finally, here are some assorted pictures from the past couple of weeks:

ahhhyooooo! the lake house keeps getting better!

So this was the original 1970-ish dock that was significantly damaged during a sever tornado / wind storm that tore through Nashville in 1998. The roof and structural supports and being held together with come alongs and bird nesting materials. The boards were all rotten and the entire dock was minutes away from being permanently condemned by the Corps of Engineers.

The new dock was designed around the idea of having a speed boat on one side, a sailboat on one side, and an area that you could fish from. The level of construction for the new dock is incredible. The entire frame is welded together and then galvanized in a huge vat, there is lots of aluminum, and the entire deck is Trex. This should last a very, very, very long time.

Looks MUCH better doesn't it?!? What does a dock mean? FUN ON THE LAKE! Here is a shot of me driving "Comet" around on the lake! whoo hooo This summer is going to be a blast!

pictures from around saint patricks day-ish

Okay, okay, I know. I am a big slacker. These pictures are old! I will try to be better!

Lots of things have been happening though, like working on the lake house, taking care of James, working on the patio project (code name rock yard), spring chores around the house, and of course trying to keep our beast of a pet Lucy satisfied with exercise. We have been blessed with many visitors over the past few months so there is always something fun going on! I suppose all that is my excuse.
